Howdy!

Post by logenkain »

Ever since I was a kid, I've enjoyed computers deeply. I started with DOS and windows 3.1 (iirc) playing around with Qbasic is a young kid on a Packard Bell.

Modern computing has kinda lost the magic of what once was, even in the 3.1 era.

Doing lower level programming has always fascinated me, but it always escaped me on how to really get started.

Every community I've asked has mostly responded with "just do it" which is particularly helpful when one doesn't know how to get started.

These modern 8-bit and 8-bit adjacent (Mega65, Foenix, cx16...) have always fascinated me. I want to really get into them, but I've yet to find a community/culture to really get me going.

I missed out on the 80's scene, I'm hoping to get in on the resurgence.

Here's hoping I find inspiration here!

Welcome on board... We've got a good community going here I think. Unfortunately not all the action happens here on the forum, some nights it will be kind of quiet. Please feel free to jump over to the Discord (Also linked off the home page). More active discussions happen there. Just about everyone here will chip in and help as much as there own skill set allows.
