Wrote an app better than my last startup sound one. Got rid of the crunchies also it now does WAV files
No need to worry about ZCM.
I'm not going to go into it to much because I wrote a nice README.TXT that's included in the archive.
Shows a Splash Screen & Plays a Sound on X16 bootup. Some samples are included or
make your own.
Try It Now!
HERES THE PROGRAM
Here's another set of AUTOBOOT.BMX & AUTOBOOT.WAV files. It's a picture of the 8BG holding the CX16
board and the theme song to his Youtube channel. I was waiting for his permission to post this one.
I just received his ok so here it is.

I would welcome other persons to contribute to this thread with their own custom AUTOBOOT.BMX & AUTOBOOT.WAV.
You can find my Graphics convertor to create BMX files HERE:

There are ton's of tools to create WAV files. My favorite's are Audacity & ffmpeg, but you could even use Sound Recorder on a Windows 3.1 machine to make compatible files. Just make sure they are 16 bit PCM, MONO or Stereo and if they are Stereo that the Sample HZ is 32000 hz or less. (MONO Is good all the way to 48k)

I'm going to try to make this a trend. Anyone who's downloaded this app probably knew this one was coming.
Please contribute, lets have a library of Splash Screen openings on this thread.
Requires app from opening post of this thread.

This seems like a good place to mention that the audio on all my video clips have been 16 bit mono at 12970 Hz, almost exactly equal to an AUDIO_RATE of 34 ($22). That's about the minimum frequency for voices without distortion. I've been dividing it up into chunks of 2594 bytes for 1/10 of a second, which is conveniently less that 3/4 of the PCM buffer.
I've been using Audacity for the bit rate conversion and to save as a .RAW (headerless) file, then a simple c++ program to hack the audio up and interleave with video data.

Wow, first time I saw a still of that scene. It is bad form to have a label name which can also be interpreted as a hexadecimal value.

I finally got around to playing with this a bit. Here's a homage to another Texan Home Computer.
