Hi everyone,
I've been into computer programming since I was really young. Way back in 1976, I started with a computer called the IBM 5100. It was one of the first portable computers ever made. I learned to program in APL and BASIC.
In the 1980s, I got my hands on an Atari 800XL. I always wanted a Commodore 64, but I never got one.
Now, after 47 years of software development, I've taken a nostalgic step by ordering the Commander X16, a modern homage to the classic 8-bit systems.

Re: Hello from Germany
Welcome, atomijd. I'm only a few years behind you ... I started with BASIC in the early '80s on a TRS80 and have been coding ever since (professionally since the early '90s). Though assembly (and the 6502) is entirely new to me.
I'm finding the challenge of assembly coding on x16emu to be very fun and engaging. Can't wait to get a real X16 next year.
