My name is Tim. I've been an avid viewer of retro-niche channels on YouTube for a while and have been following the development of the X16 for some time. I've got about 28 years of development experience (starting mostly from a 10-year-old's hobby in 1995), but sadly never really had much physical interaction with retro computers of the C64 class.
I've had COVID this week, so I downloaded the emulator to play around with it a little bit. I've never really built anything in assembly, let alone 6502 assembly, but feel like I've got a fair handle on the basics. It doesn't do a whole lot, just asks for your name and says hello. It's assembled using cc65
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi (and say I'm a big fan of a lot of the YouTubers involved in this). I'll probably keep watching to see if there's anything I can contribute to the project, in terms of usable software? I just have some more discovery to do on the ins and outs of 6502 assembly.
