Hey there, I'm the Geek on Skates. I'm a retro gamer and programmer, and I've been thinking about getting to know the X16. I've seen it on "The 8-Bit Guy" and "Retro Recipes", of course, and I've downloaded the emulator. I've got some ideas for stuff I'd like to build, not tomention I'd like to see what people are already building on it. 8-bit computers are awesome! And that's not nostalgia talking - I didn't have one till much later in life (though I did have an NES). And the X16... I mean wow... I love my TheVIC20, but the X16 looks as good as a 6502 can get! And I love that the goal is to create a *new* 8-bit computer; as much as part of me wants an old VIC-20 or C64, I already own enough old hardware to know it's not all it's cracked up to be. 40-year-old hardware requires someone with 8-Bit-Guy-level repair skills, which is so not me (totally just a programmer, lol). Anyway, I'm excited to get to know this project better, and looking forward to seeing what I can do with it.
