I debuted my trip in computing systems in 1987 with a Z80 kit computer built and enhanced by my Grand'Pa, an electronic engineer, and 2 years later with an Amstrad CPC 464. It had been my only computer during 10 years;

But things went forward... I met 16bits PC, 32bits... and so on...

And now, I'm working in managing 64bits Windows server with Remote Desktop, Virtual Machine and Cloud computing looking for how to prevent the attacks of virus, spams and other ramsonwares...

But I never forgot my good old 8 bits Amstrad.

Since few years, I just love watching the videos of @@The 8-Bit Guy @Perifractic and many others...

And I discover so many 8 bits computers I never heard of or I never had the chance to get my hand on.

It waked up my sleeping passion for true computing, when programming was a challenge and brought so much delight when the program ran the way we expected... and was so much frustating sometimes... but never boring.

In one word... I'm happy to join the X16 community and I will be pleased to discuss with you and exchange about our experiences.

See you soon in the forum.

Thanks.

Welcome!

Design is one of the challenges of programming. Knowing the machine's capabilities and programming language is fairly technical and good programmers understand them. Knowing human limitations is where I feel the great are well distinguished from the good.

I look forward to your posts on the experience of working on the X16.
