Expansion ISA Mods??? What would work?

What Kind of mods and add on board ca be put into the cx16?

Would it be possible to do a C64 Audio and video Out card?

Would you be able to do 16 bit or 32 bit accelerators by adding another MPU such as the 65816 or a motorolla 68000?

Would want to do a Ram or Hard drive expansion?

Would it be a bad idea to even do a pie expansion to just all sorts of things?

Can you use the ISA slots to add a cdrw 4x speed.

Or what about a VLC Player video accelerator to play videos convert to ASCII?

Or just make put a dvd player in it as a separate thing independent of the cx16 and maybe trip people out.?

Or a KICK START ISA to run all the Geos apps from the Geos operating system on boot.

Add an ethernet card?

Networking card for a cx16 net work?

Sound card and or 3d card?

The X16 won't be compatible with ISA, but it will have expansion slots with edge connection sockets, much like 8-bit ISA in form factor, but with a different pin out. So, there won't be any off-the-shelf cards at first, but pretty much all of those things are possible, but some may require "cheating" by sticking a PiZero or something on the card.

What kind of expansions then would be really good for the CX16 and just kind of expansion would other people like to slot in. Thank you for the reply.

A lot of folk have proposed things, mostly related to networking or some other comms, like an ethernet or RS-232 serial port. Pretty much anything you can think of, especially if you have extra processing capability on the board.

Oh yes, many ethernet-related suggestions of various sorts.

So the Bluetooth thing could be done on the USB ports I guess if had those. But I like the idea sending data to be printed out though the WiFi. Or having a wireless joystick or controller when playing a game or keyboard and mouse. Fewer wires.
