Hi to all,

My name is Jovan. I started with Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k, then C64, Amiga 500/1200 and then off to the boring and gray PC world. So happy to see a real community forming. it has been a long time since I touched BASIC, and currently as my dayjob is 100% business I usually use Python as it is the closest relative to the '80s programming king. My other hobby is IoT (lately exploring the RP2040 Pico as a platform).

I am amazed that we live in times where microcontrollers are more powerful than our Pentium PC's so I am thinking about the possibilities to build something based on top of that but as a hobby platform. Now I am aware that that is too much work, and thus I am willing to join the club. I would be interested to contribute with something using cc65 as I feel more at home in C than in Basic or Assembler. But the time is the issue (or lack of it).

Still if I buy the machine, the chances to sit down and do something with it would increase a lot. Shipping wise, I do hope that Mini ITX options will be compatible with PC Cases as it would cost a lot more (or I assume) than getting the kit or getting the final build barebones.

I think it’s cool that there’s engagement from all over the world. Go ahead and try out the emu. It’s a lot of fun to bang around in that too.
