Commander X16 PS/2 Mouse -- Perimice-209

I recently got a bulky PS/2 KVM switch (that I LOVE) and I ordered a Perifrac... erm Perixx Mouse named "Perimice-209" -- https://perixx.com/collections/mice/products/11529

This mouse is excellent and feels very fluid and responsive compared to other mice I have tried. This makes me wonder -- will the Commander X16 have a branded mouse? That would be so cool!

Does the X16 support the middle button/wheel? The scroll wheel is one of the more "modern" UI features that I miss most when working on the Amiga. So although it is a bit of an anachronism on an 8bit system (like VGA and SD cards), I would welcome it. I suspect this is purely a software question, and if the Kernal does not support it, you can always write your own mouse driver. But, assuming there'll be a mouse included with the X16, it would of course make sense to have Kernal support for all its buttons (the wheel usually being up/down buttons from a software perspective).

Please be careful when offering up ideas for design stuff. I did a thing once where all I did was create derivatives of the logos for the P, C, and E models with sports medal coloration for the model designation, and they had to take it down because I had neglected to mention that they had my explicit permission to use it for free in perpetuity, and without that kind of permission, there are lots of potential legal ramifications to using designs from other people.

The current thinking and state of play is that we will not offer a mouse in the package so we can keep the costs down. It’s not clear that the majority of users would use a mouse. If we do offer a mouse as an optional extra, it will be an unbranded white Perixx PS2 mouse that matches the case and keyboard shade of white. The middle wheel is not supported. Thanks.
