Missing Banner
When I boot my new X16, I am not seeing the banner with the logo and memory status. I've looked around for info, but I'm only seeing a bug from a few years ago.

Do you have something in a file autoboot.x16 ?

In the MENU, there is an option to write NVRAM to AUTOBOOT.X16 - several folks have accidentally done that, not realize it doesn't update or append the autoboot.x16 but replaces it entirely.
That's probably the most likely reason. Other thing I can think of is somehow an old ROM is loaded that doesn't automatically issue the BANNER? Or the ROM is damaged/corrupted in someway (but there is still a READY prompt, right?)
Even if the SD is faulty or bad, the System ROM should still be invoking BANNER. But - you could still try with or withouth the SD card inserted to see if it makes a difference.
