Hello from Virginia!
Hello from Virginia!
I have been a computer guy since 1973 when my school got a dial up terminal that connected to a mainframe. They have since always fascinated me. I went on to own and program the VIC 20, C64 and 128. I've moved on the the PC world of Windows and Linux but my soul is with the old 8bit computers. I look forward to writing, playing and developing (maybe) with the Commander X16 that I have pre-ordered. Many thanks for the creativity and the hard work that everyone has put into the project.

Re: Hello from Virginia!
While not from Verginy, my computer journey is not dissimilar to yours. My senior year in HS ('76-'77) was also my first encounter with computers; a timeshare setup with an IBM 370/158. Started with punch cards (Fortran) and ended with eight-inch floppies (COBOL).
As for my own computers, I started with a Timex/Sinclair 1000, moved to the VIC-20, then the 64, stepped up my game with the Amiga 1000, then moved to the dark side with a custom-built PC clone. Although I live in Windows, I've been a Linux fan since ~'93.
Didn't learn about the retro-computing scene until The C64 Mini came out. I didn't want a game console, so I waited until the Maxie came out before jumping in. Since then, I also got a Sinclair Spectrum Next (N-Go case) and a CX16 with the upgrade pack. I'm also interested in the Mega 65 and the Feonix F256K, but they're rather pricey.
