General - CX16 Commander X16 "Asus Prime" Build

Post by Salvorite »

Pretty happy with this case for the X16. Lots of room for activities.

Wow - that is a lot of space! From the pictures it looks like you could put in a PET in it as well. :o It looks very powerful and business like.

What activities do you have planned for it?

I initially wished there was a standard affordable case for the X16, so that each one looked like the next. Then I thought that the Gen 1's wouldn't be out/marketed to the general public, rather just a small slice of retro loving geeks like myself, so no need for consistency - almost like the Apple 1's.

I assume the GEN2 and 3's will be in a standardized case, in part for the brand recognition and the appeal to the market segment that may not want to assemble a unit, rather buy a completely packaged product.

Of course it's what's on the inside that really counts.

For now, programming with C and getting famliar with the hardware. In the future though I'm excited to see what kind of expansion cards and other hardware come out to add more features. I think there's so much opportunity here.

Based on reading the forums, even that is up for debate, meaning less as that is.
