Something odd just happened. I was working on my current programming project, working with the R46 emulator, which I've been using for almost 2 weeks now and after loading a program after a re-compile, Windows Defender all of the sudden decides that x16emu is a severe threat and quarantined it! I suppose it's possible that it got infected somehow... I do use this machine to browse, although I haven't downloaded anything from 'untrusted' sites...that I can think of...but who knows what new kinds of attacks can occur? Restoring the emulator to the same directory, from the original zipfile doesn't work. I haven't tried a different directory yet.
Anyone experience anything like this?
Windows Defender just quarantined x16emu!
Re: Windows Defender just quarantined x16emu!
Hmm... my definitions are up-to-date (as of this post) and Windows Security doesn't seem to mind me running the r46 emulator. I wonder what happened?
Edit: For clarity, I'm on W10, and the copy of r46 I have is the official release from when it was new.

do a full system scan, maybe you have a virus somewhere else that is busy infecting random exes
