Heart Hallo! From Germany/Frankfurt area

Post by Blogutan »

My name is Samet, i am 33 years old, work as a service technician for digital cash registers and i somehow try to finish my universtiy - where i study applied mechanics (focus on continuum-mechanics).
I love gaming, literature and writing. And sometimes i love to do coding projects. (basic knowledge in basic, java, c and php)
Big fan of the 8BitGuy - so i am here...
I am totally in awe regarding this project and would love to get my hands on one at some time :)

Welcome, Samet.

I used to install digital cash registers, too, back in my retail computer store days.

We're glad to have you here, and hope you'll enjoy participating in the community.

Another welcome to the community, sorry for the delay.

Continuum-mechanics sounds like a very intensive subject. Perhaps you could corner the X16 market for software for this field. :D Is FORTRAN still kicking around in the university engineering world? The SuperPET had it as language one could learn, but that ran on the 6809 CPU, not the 6502. I got to explore it along with APL and COBOL back in the day. Fortran made sense, APL at least connected with some of the high school math at the time. COBOL, well I didn't get it then and I feel it's not very relevant now.

While everyone awaits the shipping hardware there is lots one can do with the emulator (besides playing great games!) I hope you find time between work and school to explore.

Sie sind ein bisschen junger als mich. Dankte daß ich junger als die meisten Leute hier war. Deustch ist nicht mein Muttersprache, doch darfe ich es nicht so oft benutzen.

You are a bit younger than me. Thought I was younger that most of the people here. German isn't my native language, but I rarely get to use it.
