Hello,
My name's John and I live close to Preston in the north of England. I've been following David's Youtube channel for a while and it has given me a real sense of nostalgia for the computers I grew up with as a kid. My own computing history began with the Sinclair ZX81 (I well remember the excitement of tapping out a program from the manual and seeing it draw a sine wave on the screen!) Later I had a Dragon 32 and a BBC Model B before moving on to my first 386 PC. I've done a bit of programming in Python and C in my time, but finding this project has made me realise that BASIC is really my first love as far as programming languages go. I would describe my knowledge level as fairly basic (pun intended) , but I'm currently having great fun playing around with the emulator and it is proving a valuable learning experience for me. I'm very excited by this project and I can't wait to get my hands on a real Commander X16.
