Re: Fan Headers
For me, they just don't fit on a computer designed to mimic the look of retro computers of the 1980s. In my opinion, RGB headers are out of place. And fans in general. I mean, the CX16 doesn't get that hot (unlike modern computers) to require a fan.

Re: CP/M on the X16
I'm not sure if this feature is even necessary, but can (in theory, with a expansion card) the Commander X16 run CP/M, in order to run some business software for CP/M, or even write new software for CP/M? This question seems stupid, but I'm just asking. This is less a "feature" of the CX1...

Omega Race for the X16
I'm currently porting the game Omega Race to the Commander X16. Its WIP source is available here: https://github.com/calmsacibis995/OmegaX16 Any feedback would be highly appreciated, especially for anyone who is interested in diving into my design choices regarding video modes, supported controllers...

Hello from Greece!
I didn't find anyone who is from my country, so hopefully I am the first! But anyway, I am interested into the X16 for quite a while. I do have some knowledge of BASIC and 6502 assembly language, so I might be able to port a game from the VIC-20 or C64 to the X16.

Re: CP/M on the X16
Here is a screenshot of a very primitive CP/M bootloader that I wrote: 2024-09-29_10-02.png Right now, it performs a placeholder comparison at address $9F60 (first expansion card slot). The bootloader should work on release builds of the ROM too, I tested from the latest commit (c921a17). If anyone ...

Re: CP/M on the X16
I started to poke around the net and this seems to be a good starting point - http://www.cpm.z80.de As the URL indicates, CP/M was written for the Z80 (originally the 8080) CPU. It was since ported to the 8086, but as with other operating systems that can run under different CPU architectures (Linu...
