I absolutely love that!Tenorman wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 1:15 pm
New to the forum. I thought it might be cool to install my CX16 board in a "real" wedge case from an 8-bit computer. I found https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5170783, but I don't have a 3D printer.

Re: Monitor is able to view VERA memory, but does not save to file
Will it work with the current ROM release? Looks like it's matched with r41 instead of 48

When I built it locally I used 48. Have had no issues.

Re: How to get started?
I much prefer the forums. I really dislike that lack of organization of Discord. When I get on Discord and read a post, there's no context of what is being discussed and I have to scroll up and try to find the topic. But then it's usually mixed with posts about other topics so it's just a jumbled me...

The K command lets you select a vram bank but I don't know if save/load respect that.ahenry3068 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 8:12 am Also. I don't think you can directly view VERA ram from the monitor.
VERA Ram is accessed through a single DATA Port address and is not mapped to the main processor address space.

Re: PC/MS DOS emulator?
I've wrestled with how to explain the X16 ... I had to explain it to my wife this weekend. She didn't understand my excitement of something that is so far from the capabilities of a modern computer. The best analogy I could come up with, was a car buff could certainly drive a modern car with all the...

Re: This is My HEAVEN!
Of course! The Prog. Reference Guide was so full of info, I had to read it every free moment I had. So I pulled the trigger and placed my order. I want this computer to succeed! I know there's a pretty long line ahead of me, but it will be a great day when I get that package. Can't wait. Still on th...

Yeah, the more I read and play the more impressed I get. It's a treasure trove of goodies for sure. I definitely see your point in purchasing hardware and I definitely want to contribute to it's success. And honestly, I'm chomping at the bit and probably can't hold out much longer. I just need to ma...

Re: CX16 Programming and Coding in C Guide/Tutorial
I'm a little more than halfway through and this has been an enormous help! Thank you for putting this together. If you turned this into a book I would buy it just to support your efforts. The writing is articulate, easy to read with small examples easily digested, but meaningful enough to show the p...

This is My HEAVEN!
Hello friends! I'm late to the party (as usual!) I've been feeling super nostalgic about my C64 days in the early 80's and stumbled onto The 8 Bit Guy's YT channel. Loved it from the first video and I binged on the whole channel over a week or so. I am so stoked about the Commander X16. I feel that ...
