Re: Why emulate other computers on the X16?
The only people asking that are those who don't understand how much compute resources it takes to emulate one machine at full speed on another. It also stems from the fact the the X16 is a new platform yet we've been able to play Mega Drive, C64 games etc on smart phones and similar devices for abou...

Re: PSA: Do not use an HP power supply.
I wouldn't use HP anything, especially their printers.
HP printers used to be great a decade or so ago, now they're wretched cons of a product. Brother printers are spot on.

BASIC support for the X16 serial port
I have looked at the list of X16 BASIC commands on github and I don't see any commands for using the serial port card.
Is support for accessing the serial port using BASIC a planned feature? Maybe its already possible using POKEs?

Re: Open source SNES controller PCB
I have already created an open source replacement for the Super Advantage:
https://uzebox.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11226
This PCB could be used as the guts for my joystick instead of butchering a SNES controller.

Re: Calypso "Super Peripheral"
I copy/pasted the first post in this topic into the Uzebox forum X16 topic here: https://uzebox.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=38507#p38507 CunningFellow is working on a SMD based "kitchen sink" version of the Uzebox that will have all of the possible ports and potential add ons and he asked a...

Open source SNES controller PCB
I had been wondering what the Uzebox, SNES homebrew and X16 communities were going to do about obtaining / creating decent clone SNES pads until I found this project earlier. https://bitbucket.org/taylormadeak/snes-oem-controller-pcb-replacement/src/master/ This is an open source hardware project ai...

Re: Atari2SNES
Best prioritize those real life things for sure. I feel obliged to test the onboard wifi support myself anyway, I just need to work out what header connector I need. The BOM for the Omega, which I updated last week, is in the first post here: https://uzebox.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11347 All the O...

Re: Atari2SNES
Have you got all the parts required to build a Uzebox Omega yet Jimmy?
I have upgraded all of my Omegas with the 1 Mbit SPI RAM onboard now, awaiting the flood of Uzebox SPI RAM games. One would be a good start.

Re: Atari2SNES
Ah great!
Please post some pics when you get time to assemble 'em.
The Uzebox has a working wav player now. Uzeamp has been updated to support SDHC SD cards, which is pretty much all (Micro)SD cards manufactured in the last decade or so.
