Re: VolksForth

The second thing is that I have forgotten to pack a lot of things when creating this first github release of VolksForth. For example I didn't pack the 6502assembler.fth which is what you need to load (INCLUDE) to write CODE words. The ASSEMBLER vocabulary in the VolksForth kernel is there to provid...

Re: What PC case are you using?

I got this case, it comes with 6 RGB fans so I hope my CX16 won't overheat  https://scontent.fbma4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/421921626_10232081813616104_1355684605418211042_n.jpg?_nc_cat=105&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=524774&_nc_ohc=3S6-71nbpK4AX8zVUvy&_nc_ht=scontent.fbma4-1.fna&o...

Re: X16 Edit - a text editor

I saw mentioned in a thread that the X16 Edit used parts of the Zero page memory but I found no more info what addresses I should keep out of if I want to use the editor from my own code.

Re: The Commander X16 Begins Shipping Next Week!

Ouch, I just made a new preorder and canceled the old one to add the power adapter to the package and switched to a quicker shipping option. I hope it won't sabotage my delivery time...

Super C for 64/128

I am sure that cc64 will be more effective and create better code, the advantage of the Super C would be that it would run on the computer itself.  Except BASIC and assembly I assume that the only efficient  and fast languages we could add would be something like Forth. <span class="ipsEmoji">?</sp...

Shipping Cost and toll fees.

I got some unexpected money and was considering to buy one of the CX16 WASD keyboards. The $200 price is a bit steep but I can manage that. The main problem though is that I have to add $50 in taxes/toll and almost $70 in shipping bringing the total up to $320.<br /> <br /> I might still order it b...

Super C for 64/128

I had that software for my C128 back in the day, I think it was sold by Abacus or Data Becker. Do anyone<br /> know if it would be possible to port it to the CX16?<br /> <br /> As far as I have been able to determine from searching on the net it was developed and <span style="background-color:#f8f8...

Hi from Sigtuna, Sweden

Hi I am an "oldtimer" who started programming in 1979 when I was 13 years old. I got a Swedish made<br /> 8 bit Z80 based computer and have been programming from that point in time. I have worked in many<br /> computer languages since then including BASIC, Pascal, Fortran, Cobol, Forth, C, C++, Mod...
