Re: TilemapEd, Tilemap editor for the X16
I see you clarified it already so i don't need to add much to it. I did make a comparison of different modes in my blog posts long time ago: https://www.8bitcoding.com/p/tiles-in-assembly-i-basics.html https://www.8bitcoding.com/p/tiles-in-basic-i-mode-0-and-1.html https://www.8bitcoding.com/p/tiles...

Re: TilemapEd, Tilemap editor for the X16
I just found this tool. Very impressive work Dacobi.
I have been playing with it for last hour or so but couldn't find one fundamental feature. Does it allow to use 1bpp modes? I couldn't find where to select foreground/background color for 16 color mode or foreground color for 256 color mode.

Re: How to write games in BASIC
Cheers for the hard work. I ran through the snake tutorial a while back and thought it was pretty good. With the release of physical boards I've been getting interested in the X16 again. If you've gone through and updated your tutorials it sounds like it's a good time to go back through and do them...

Re: Contest - Visual Controller Tester
Wavicle made some changes to the joystick scan method to make it comply better with SNES timing requirements. These changes were committed on May 23. The latest official Kernal - R43 Stockholm - was released a couple of days before that change, on May 17. Unless you are already running a Kernal com...

Re: Contest - Visual Controller Tester
Hi TestPleaseIgnore, sorry I only saw your comment now. Yes my controllers have similar symptoms. The B button is very unstable, it even looks like it is being pressed and released continuously, almost like rapid fire. Another, even more annoying problem with both controllers is that Select button i...

Re: Contest - Visual Controller Tester
I would also be glad to expand this tool if you feel there is any additional info that would be useful when testing controllers.

Contest - Visual Controller Tester
I had some issues with cheap SNES controller knockoffs that didn't work properly and to troubleshoot I needed good view into what is actually happening. Hence I wrote this tool to display raw data returned from the Kernal call joystick_get and also graphical representation of the buttons affected. I...
