Re: Help Identify SDRAM Manufacturer

Yeah, I even used Google's "image recognition" search to look for similar items and all I ever see if Rambus RDRAM, and the logo turns up nothing. https://i.ibb.co/tbp757B/mystery-ram.jpg It's just odd, and kind of cool, back before cosmetic heat spreaders were a thing. On RDRAM it made se...

Re: Help Identify SDRAM Manufacturer

The problem with Microcenter is I find it listed in other countries, are they outside the US? Or were they back then? Also, these sticks of RAM had to use a custom/different PCB to get the rivet holes to line up because those holes don't exist on standard SDRAM modules, so I assumed they were made b...

Help Identify SDRAM Manufacturer

Maybe someone can help me identify who makes the RAM you see below. It's SDRAM, but made to look like RDRAM, and I've never seen that before. My best guess it was made my Micron, but I can't confirm it. That logo doesn't seem to have ever been used by Micron. Details listed here: https://theclassicg...

"Mini" Win95/DOS PC Build & PETSCII Robots (Updated)

Updated: 3/1/2023 I recently built myself a mini Windows 95 (OSR2.5) system I can use to play old DOS and Windows games from the era. I had 3 basic goals for the build. 1. As small as possible. 2. DOS and Win95 drivers actually available. 3. 800x600 and lower resolution capable. All of that lead me...

Re: Modern Computing Chat

Well, I've been quite busy lately, and I still managed to find time to upgrade me computer. I decided to pretty much max out my B450 motherboard, but not break the bank in the process. Upgraded to a Ryzen 5600 and RX 6600 GPU. The AM4 platform has already given be several years of use, this fi...

Yeah, so the main issue was I wanted to edit the controls used, so instead of using the 8462 keys that were assigned for movement, I wanted to change it to WASD. The problem was you can't just change the input keys without wiping out the manual terminal config as well. At least, no matter how many ...

Family, work, and life in general keep putting this on hold, but it's still slowly moving forward... Had to make more changes to account for space in my little enclosure, take out some DuPont style connections and replace them with JST connectors, plus change out a few and make them right angle. Go...
