Feel free to post works in progress, test builds, prototypes, and tech demos.

Finished works go in the Downloads category. Don't forget to add a hashtag (#) and the version number your program was meant to run on. (ie: #R41).

Melodius v0.1-pre1

Melodius is a ZSM and MIDI jukebox for the Commander X16. It uses the built-in patch set from the in-rom audio bank as well as its API in order to play MIDIs on the YM2151. ZSMs are played via a new playback library called ZSMKit, which supports ZSM extensions for VERA PCM audio.

Notes are visualized as they are played.

A very recent ROM, newer than R43 is required in order to play back ZSMs. R43 will not play things back correctly.

To download a new enough emulator/rom, if you have a GitHub account, you can visit
https://github.com/X16Community/x16-emu ... 5607433748 and download a build for your OS.

This is a very early release, and it is fairly barebones, but it is capable of playing most ZSMs and most MIDI files.
