I'm not sure I'm in the right forum but I have a question that maybe someone could answer.
Back in the days of DOS. You could setup an autoexec.bat file with a PATH statement.
You know so the computer knew where important files were located instead of having to use cd/etv/etv1/etcc blah blah.
I do not believe there is one in X16 DOS ( at least as far as I've found).
Is there some equivalent possibly in BASLOAD?
Could this be something that could be added to DOS?

You could certainly write a program that scans a set of paths for a file before running and loading it... that seems like a good addition for the Shell, too.
